A Masked Ball

The Greek Community of Calgary is excited to present a live theatre presentation of "A Masked Ball" by the Hippo Theatre Group. HIPPO theatre group was founded in 2009 by Fotis Dousos and Alexandros Raptis in Athens, Greece. The company’s field of action is situated in Adult Theatre, in Theatre for Children and in Drama. Combining various theatre acting theories, performance techniques and live music, the company produces stimulating performances for adults and young audiences. Moreover Hippo Theatre Group organizes Drama workshops for children, teenagers and adults that have contacted them in different parts of the world in theatre festivals, in schools, and in theatre spaces.

Play Synopsis: 
A little witch has been so clumsy that the ‘Circle of Witches’ have cast her out as punishment. A strange Count, an award-winning party host who delights in entertaining his guests, strives to throw the best party for this year's Carnival. Taking his servant's advice, the count invites the little witch to his party in the hope that her powers will make it a party to really remember, the results however are far beyond what he or anyone else could ever have imagined!    - Children: $15.00
   - 4 and under free

Tickets include the 1 hour performance followed by a drama workshop hosted by the actors. The workshop includes short theatrical games and drama techniques.
