Your community dues are vital to St. Demetrios offering services and sacraments, as well as to our ability to offer programs and maintain the hall.
Some of the advantages of being a member of the Hellenic Community include the following:
- member discounts on renting the hall for functions;
- member discounts on programs such as Greek School, Niata, or Adult Greek dance lessons;
- free attendance in Sunday School and the JOY program;
- member discounts on fitness programs offered at the hall;
- subscription to our monthly newsletter with news for Church services and community events;
- receipt of Society and Church financial statements;
- the ability to attend and vote at general meetings;
- the ability to run for election to the Board of Directors;
- and member discounts on advertising on our website
Council is working on creating more programs and opportunities for our members, but we require your support. We all want the Church and hall to be there for us in our times of need. Keeping your membership up-to-date enables that to happen.
Membership Dues
For your information, the following membership rates are in effect for 2011 (January-December):
- Families: $200
- Singles: $150
- Seniors: $75
- Single Young Adults (18-25): $50
There is a $50 one time registration fee for those who are becoming new members for the first time.
Memberships can be paid at the Community office during Church services or at the Society office, Tuesday –Friday, 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Arrangements can also be made by contacting Donnell at admin@calgaryhellenic.com.
