The Hellenic Society is looking for a new principal for our Greek Community School.

The duties for this position in general and in no particular order are:

1. to guide and supervise the teachers and school staff
2. to plan, organize and participate in the yearly activities and celebrations of the school
3. to ensure that proper assessment and teaching practices are in place and are common practice
4. to promote and mentor teachers and encourage current, creative and engaging methods of teaching the Greek language
5. to organize and run monthly teacher meetings
6. to communicate well with parents, students and teachers,
7. to keep all stakeholders informed about events happening at the schoo
8. to ensure that good records, both student and otherwise are being kept at the schoo
9.  to work cooperatively with the society, school board committee, teachers, students and parents
10. to ensure that reports to Alberta Education are sent on time  and to attend Alberta Education or SAHLA conferences and workshops necessary on behalf of the school (once or twice a year)
11. to communicate with the Greek Education Office of Toronto.
